#SecretPathWeek is an opportunity to answer Gord Downie’s call to action, to #DoSomething by creating a path toward reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.

On Friday, October 22, NSER will be participating in an act of reconciliACTION by participating in a “Walk for Wenjack” during advisory.. Students will pay a toonie for every loop (back to NSEE, down the access road, through the stop sign and along the road back to NSER) they plan to complete. Advisory teachers will collect the money and walk with their students.  Students that do not wish to participate or pay the $2 are to go to the cafeteria to be supervised.  All proceeds will be donated to the Downie-Wenjack Fund as a part of the Legacy School campaign.

#WalkForWenjack is an opportunity to reflect on Chanie Wenjack’s journey and answer Gord Downie’s call to #DoSomething. Let’s take the first step towards reconciliation with Downie and Wenjack and DO SOMETHING!
