Welcome Back!

Dear Cobra Students, Families and Community Members,

Welcome to the 2018-19 school year!  My name is David Cripps and it is a privilege to be the newest principal of North and South Esk Regional School, a school known throughout the district of its dedication towards excellence in education.

Over the past 25 years, I have worked as a teacher and an administrator. My goal has always been to ensure all students are happy, healthy and safe, so they can learn to the best of their ability.

The staff at NSER will strive to ensure every child feels welcome, connected, and part of the Cobra family.  Additionally, we will dedicate ourselves to helping your children reach their academic potential, and look forward to working with you to provide a high-quality education they deserve.

The foundation of student success means building partnerships with students, staff, and parents.  Active parent participation is very important.  I ask all of our families to help by showing your appreciation to our teachers and staff whenever you can.  Also, try to become involved in at least ONE activity or event this school year.  We not only want our students to feel as though they are part of our learning community – we want you to be part of our Cobra family as well.

A very special thank you to Angela Murphy, Paula Matchett and other support staff as they have worked hard throughout the summer preparing our school for the new academic year.

I look forward to working with the NSER staff and students to create programs that will engage, motivate, and provide experience for lifelong success!  I am eager to meet you as well and want you to feel as though you can come into the school and get to know our building and staff.

I look forward to seeing all our newest Grade 7 students on Tuesday, September 4th, 2018. There will be a date for us to meet parents and guardians later in the month.  Please keep an ear and eye out for an announcement on date and time.  The first day of school for all others, Grades 8-12 will be Wednesday, September 5th.  I can’t wait to have everyone in the building and get this year started!

Please know my door is always open and I encourage you to visit with questions or just a friendly hello for the new principal.  I look forward to a successful and rewarding school year!  Go Cobras!

Mr. David Cripps
