Archery, Canoe, and Fly Fishing Clubs at NSER

Posted: September 9, 2010

Students in grades 9 to 12 at NSER will have the opportunity to participate in some exciting clubs this year.  New this year is the NSER Archery Club.  It is based on the National Archery in Schools Program (NASP).  Last year saw the inception of the Fly Fishing club so we hope to build on that.  The Canoe club is a school based model of the community club which was once here in Sunny Corner.  Each of these will allow students exposure to new outdoor education experiences as well as provide extra time and resources to them.  Archery competitions, fly fishing out trips and after school paddling times are just some examples of what we hope to provide the students with.  Any community members with experience in these various fields looking to help out should contact the school.  The students are extremely excited for these groups and we would love to have interested people on board.
