Home Learning Q and A Regarding Credit and Enrolled

Posted: April 20, 2020

Families of ASD-N High School Students,
On April 2, 2020 Education and Early Childhood Development Minister, Dominic Cardy released the provincial “Continuity of Learning Plan” which outlined a plan for education during this time of school closures as a result of COVID-19. The goal of the plan is to ensure no student is disadvantaged or penalized by the school closure, while at the same time encouraging any available opportunities for continued learning.
We realize this is a particularly complicated challenge for our high school students and families, given the diversity and complexity of their courses and the requirements for graduation and post-secondary education. The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development in consultation with Districts and a group of Principals have developed a list of common questions and answers about learning at the high school level and will share many of them below.
We understand that family situations are very different for both students and teachers, and we do not wish to add any extra anxiety at this time. During this state of emergency in New Brunswick, our Principals/VPs and teachers will do their best to remain connected to your student and offer them support in their learning. If you have questions that are not answered below, we encourage you to reach out to your Principal/VP.

Please see attached documents regarding answers to questions and courses that are available forcredit at NSER.
Thank you for your patience as we work through this time together. We appreciate your on-going support.
