1. Imagine what would happen if an important resource was threatened by economic or environmental changes (cod moratorium, beetle attacking softwood lumber, etc). Write a story or a song imagining how you or your family would be affected by this.
2. Complete a research paper or PowerPoint on one of the following topics. Be sure to include arguments both for and against the topic. Which side of the debate are you on? Are you for it or against it?
a. Muskrat Falls Hydroelectric Dam
b. New Softwood Lumber Tariffs for New Brunswick
c. Speed Limits for Ships in the Saint Lawrence River
d. Carbon Price Plans for New Brunswick
e. Or any other topic relating to natural resources development in Atlantic Canada
