This holiday season, NSER will be trying something new. We are sponsoring four local organizations: Miramichi Community Food Bank, Miramichi Emergency Centre for Women, Miramichi Youth House, and SPCA. All of the organizations rely on the kindness and charity of others to provide services to those in need in our community. Each organization has a Wish List and our goal is to provide them with some of the items they need to support those they serve. Many items are things you can find in your own home: newspapers, gently used clothing, Canadian Tire money, blankets, soup.
Mr. Curtis
had been looking for a small car for the automotive
program at NSER so that he could have vehicle to train the students with. This vehicle will be used by each of the
classes to perform basic maintenance procedures like fluid checks, changing oil,
lifting on hoist or floor jacks, rotating tires, changing tires and balancing,
electrical diagnosis, etc.
Hal Somers and Miramichii Mazda have graciously donated a 2005
Mazda 3 Sport to be used in this way. We
really appreciate Hals generosity and will put the car to good use.
The Josten's Graduation Ring Rep will be at NSER during lunch hour on October 17th.Grad Pictures will take place during the week of December 1-5 - More information on this will go home in the coming weeks.Grad Fees are $50 and can be paid at the office.
Breakfast for Breakfast will be held at the Sunny Corner Fire Hall on Saturday, October 4th. All money raised will be to support the NSER Breakfast Program.
The directors
of NSE Food Services Inc. invite expressions of interest from the community for
a food service
position for North & South Esk school cafeterias. The position will be on a
casual basis with a
possibility of future part-time employment at a rate of $10.50 per hour.
