Mrs. Holmes

Welcome!

Posted: April 14, 2020

Hopefully all is well as we enter another week of home learning.  Here is another assignment that you can do with Mircosoft Word or am equivalent (if you do not have Word).

Remember, it is not necessary to send this to me, but you may want to save it on a jump drive or somewhere you can access it if the need arises in the future.

If you have any questions, remember to email me anytime.  I check my emails periodically and will try to get back to you in a timely manner.

Have a great week!

Welcome back Cobras!!

First off, I just want to say that I miss you all and am extremely disappointed that we will not be able to complete Rock of Ages this year.  You were all on track to put on an amazing show and I know many of you were looing forward to your moment in the spotlight!!

With that being said, I may have a way for you to still receive your star recognition!!

We are having a Virtual Talent Show!!  Please see the attached file with all the details.  If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me through email at shiann.holmes@nbed.nb.ca

Hope to hear from you all soon!

Welcome back NSER!!

First off, I just want to say that I miss you all but realize that staying home right now is the safest thing for all of us.

Secondly, over the next several weeks, I will be giving you mini assignments that you can work on at home to promote continued learning so that when we are able to be together again, we can continue on without delay.'

Here is your first activity that you can do.  Once completed, it may be a good idea to save it and keep for further reference.

We will start by working with Microsoft Word.  If you do not have Word, you probably have a comparable program that you would be able to complete this assignment with.

If you have any questions, please email me at shiann.holmes@nbed.nb.ca and I will get back to you ASAP.

Thanks!

Welcome back to class Grade 9!!

Mrs. Richard and I have been talking a lot over the past two weeks and first thing we want to say is that we miss you all.  We hope you are all safe and doing your part to stop the spread of Covid-19.

As we begin this new phase of home-learning, we want each of you to know that this is new for all of us and we need to have patience with each other as we explore this new territory in learning.

For this week, we want you to focus on knowing that we are here for you and do not want to overwhelm you or your families.  So, with this in mind, please do your best this week to find a book or something to read (there are lots of free sites online, especially now), and read at least 20 minutes a day, keeping record of what you have read.

Next week, we will give some further instructions of what you can do to continue towards your academinc goals.

If you need to contact me, please feel free to email me at shiann.holmes@nbed.nb.ca

Thanks!

Hey everyone!

Just a note to let you all know that we miss you all during this time of physical distancing and closures due to Covid-19.  Your teachers have not forgotten about you and we are workng hard to find ways to help you through this time of uncertainity.  Starting Monday, April 6th, you will be hearing from your Advisory Teacher to see how you are doing.  We are also creating lessons for home learning to aid you in keeping up with your academic needs, so be watching our teacher pages for this information which is coming soon.

The circumstances we find ourselves in are unprecidented.  As we work to adjust to our new normal "for now", let's all do our part to keep healthy, look after each other and see this pandemic come to an end.  Stay safe everyone.
