I am going to attempt a grad/theatre arts final video of you all singing the song "Don't Stop Believin'" You will see the Kararoke version loaded up. Simply record a video with you singing the entire song. Don't panic, the video will only have a few people soloing, but I want to have you all singing together with all your individual video on the screen at the same time. So, here is what you need to do....
1. Get the song. You have to use the song I upload so we all use the same one.
2. Video yourself with your phone horizontal (on it's side).
3. Sing with ear buds with a mic capability (or airpods).
4. Your video resolution should be set at 1080.
I have someone who will help me with this video and these are his suggestions so that all video look and sound similar.
Finally, I need these ASAP!! We all know this song, so go over it a few times and get it done please. I would like to have your video by Monday morning, June 8th so that will give me time to make the video.
This will be a great keepsake for you even though things are not normal this year for your graduation. I hope to get your video soon!!

Hey everyone! Hard to believe we are entering week 8 of our home learning. Hopefully you are all doing well and are starting to see a bit more freedom now that some restrictions have been lifted. Remember though, we still need to be diligent so that we don't see a resurgence of the virus.
This week, I thought that I would challenge you to watch a full broadway musical. I searched online a bit and found all kinds of them on You Tube. Simply search "Full Broadway Musicals" on You Tube and pick one that looks interesting. Once you have watched one, write about your thoughts. What did you think of the show? What about the characters? Was there one that stood out, or were they all equally good? What did you like about it? What would you change? What about the story line, was it easy to follow? Did the performers portray the story well?
I have been to New York a few times now and have seen several Broadway shows. I have also been to Toronto many times and saw some Broadway worthy shows there as well. Although these shows will be good online, it does not compare to live theatre, so if you ever get the chance to go to a live professional show, go! You will not be disappointed.
Have a great week everyone!

Hey everyone!! Hope you are all doing well and are starting to feel like there is light at the end of this pandemic tunnel with all of this beautiful weather. I know it has done a lot for me!!
For the next couple of weeks, you can work on the PowerPoint Activity that has been uploaded with this note. Work on it a bit every day you do school work and it will not be overwhelming. If you have any questions about inserting video or music, just check online. There are all kinds of tutorials to help you.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me at shiann.holmes@nbed.nb.ca. Have a great week everyone!

It's week #8 of home learning! I wish everyday that we were back in school right now as I know Mrs. Richard and I had so many fun plans for you in class, but this pandemic changed all of that. Now though, we can finally say that SUMMER IS COMING and hopefully as we all continue to our part, we will keep seeing more restrictions lifted and things will feel more "normal."
As many of you probably know, course selections are up on our website and you are to look at what is available for you in Semester 2. Teachers will be calling Monday and Tuesday to discuss what you would like to select. Make sure you take a look at those under the Documents tab.
For home learning this week, please refer to Mrs. Richard's page. Have a great week everyone!!

Hey everyone! Hope you are all doing well and starting to adjust to our "new normal" as you begin to leave your house and get back to "normal."
This week, I would love for you to put your acting skills to the test and find a children's book that you LOVE and do a dramatic reading of it. Really put your creativity into it and then make a video of you reading it and send it off to me. shiann.holmes@nbed.nb.ca
Have a great week!!
