Volunteer Miramichi Inc. is pleased to offer a Bursary to a high school student enrolled in a post-secondary program in the Fall of 2021.
This $500 bursary will reward a student who has made an outstanding contribution to the community, without any monetary reward. The recipient will be selected on the basis of volunteer experience and academic standing.
Eligibility
To qualify, student must:
· Be actively committed to volunteerism; outside of school and have a record from the organization presented with their bursary application.
· Be enrolled in a post-secondary program during the 2021-2022 academic year.
· Have a written specific circumstance, telling of a volunteer experience they have encountered.
· Have a letter of recommendation from high school Principal, Guidance Counsellor, or Teacher.

Criteria to apply for an HNB Scholarship:
• Applicant must have been a Hockey New Brunswick member or associate member in the 2020-2021 hockey season (HNB player, NBIAA player or HNB Official). • Applicant must be under the age of 21 as of December 31st of the current season. • Applicant must be graduating or must be a graduate who is pursuing post-secondary studies in 2021-2022.
How to Apply:
• Applicant must send a 300 to 500-word essay (double-spaced) to the Selection Committee outlining their community involvement, as well as financial need. The essay should explain how hockey has impacted their life. • Provide a record of their complete academic transcript in high school (Grades 10-12 inclusive) or in University. • Provide an athletic resumé (brief outline sports involvement by year) • Proof of post-secondary education acceptance letter • Please include a photo (of your choice) with the completed submission
