Criteria: Applicant must be a disadvantage student (ie physical, mental or sensory disability) and a resident of New Brunswick entering a university or another post secondary school (Value – varies)

BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS / BOYS & GIRLS CLUB SCHOLARSHIP - Deadline May 22

To be eligible for the scholarship you must:

  • demonstrate financial need to go to post-secondary school
  • be a 2020 High School Graduate
  • be registered in a program at a University, College, or Trade School for the next school year
  • maintain a minimum average of 75%
  • To be considered for this scholarship you must provide:

    • a completed and signed application form, including the expenses and income information
    • a document that indicates financial need (Current pay stub and Line 150 Taxable Income as stated on the most recent Notice of Assessment)
    • 2 letters of references: 1) who knows you personally  1) who will validate your volunteer involvement
    • a copy of your most recent school transcript
    • a copy of your letter of acceptance from your University, College or Trade School

AbbVie IBD Scholarship: Crohn’s & Colitis

Criteria: Scholarship is available to students of any age, living with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis who are enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary educational institution (Value – $5000)

The New Brunswick Public Colleges Entrance Scholarship is available for this academic year 2020-2021 for students who would like to attend the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB), the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (NBCCD) and the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC).

 

You can now apply by completing the fillable Scholarship Application Form.  After entering your information, you need to do a “Save As”  unto your computer (suggestion: add your name and date to the filename, for example 2020-04-23-NBPCES-BEPACPNB-ARSENEAULT,BERTHE.pdf). Please submit your application by email to your high school Guidance Counsellor at carla.pitre@nbed.nb.ca by May 27 for review. Thereafter, it will be forwarded on to NBCC by June 6 for the final decision. 

UP-DATE DEADLINE EXTENSION to APRIL 30, 2020.  Please see application attached.

Bursary Criteria: 1. Preference given to residents of New Brunswick, and then Atlantic Canada, who have graduated from a secondary high school in the province within last 12 months; 2. Bursaries will be awarded based on financial need and personal circumstances; 3. Students must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program of study at UNB 4. Renewal is based on maintaining good academic standing (minimum assessment year GPA of 2.0); 5. Recipient must commit to work with at least one mentor in an extracurricular activity throughout their program of study; 6. Bursaries awarded are to be applied against tuition and ancillary fees.
