Middle School Girls Soccer Team is off to a great start, they are working hard and eager to learn. The first two games we took a loss (4-0 to Gretna Green and 2-0 to Harkins Middle School). They are improving every game and having fun. Go Cobras!
The winning ways continue for the Senior girls soccer team, as they travelled to rivals Blackville yesterday and defeated them 3-2.
Another strong goaltending performance, this time by Dealanie Mutch was essential in the victory. Jazna Ward got things started early in the 1st half with a strong boot past the keeper and later in the half Anika Nastasiuk fired a shot through traffic that found the back of the twine, giving the Cobra’s a 2-0 lead.
Welcome back to another great year here at NSER. I would personally like to welcome Mrs. Jennifer Mitchell (grade 7-10 tech and Environmental Science 120). As well Mrs. Kim Doyle will be our administrative assistant. Paula Matchett will be filling the job until end of September at which time Kim will be joining our team. We have many changes this year from bell schedules, sports teams, etc, but one of our biggest changes is PowerSchool. We sent home a form to have you fill out detailing address, phone numbers, etc.
NSER and NSEE will have a new bell schedule in the fall. We will start at the same time as always however the end of the day will be 2:45 instead of 3:05. Students will still be receiving the same amount of instructional time. More information will follow in the fall we just want parents to be aware students will arrive home 20 minutes earlier than in previous years.
