For the seventh year in a row, Opportunities NB invites graduating high school students who are enrolled in a New Brunswick post-secondary institution to apply for the NB Proud Awards. The awards, valued at $2,000 each, will be presented to five finalists from the five economic regions in the province to support their post-secondary education goals.

This year, applicants are asked to write an essay of no more than 500 words in response to the following question:

“The year is 2035 and you’re living your best life in New Brunswick, in an essay of no more than 500 words, tell us about your potential career and how you are contributing to the province’s success and economic growth.”

Applicants are required to take and submit a photo that relates to their essay topic. We are looking for creative and positive responses that represent the great opportunities and people here in New Brunswick. We encourage students to have fun with this initiative!

The awards will be presented later in June and applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023.
